For cocktails and eclectic New American dishes served in a welcoming atmosphere, stop by Benchmark which has casual menu options that focus on fresh, local ingredients and has a tasty selection of regional wines and local craft beers. There’s also Detention where you’ll find great culinary masterpieces served in a relaxed setting. With mood lighting, vignette seating, and omakase drink experiences, the bar and lounge area was intended for the cocktail crowd.

Residents are lucky enough to have access to the largest retail center on the United States’ West Coast. South Coast Plaza is a world-class shopping destination with over 250 exquisite stores and critically recognized eateries. This premium shopping destination features some of the world's most prominent designers. There are several attractions and local sites in Downtown Santa Ana that make it worthwhile to live here. The Bowers Museum is a public art museum that contains a permanent collection of over 100,000 pieces, with noteworthy strengths in pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, Native American art, Asian, African, and Oceanian art, and California plein-air painting.

On the first Saturday of each month, galleries, theaters, artists, and performers in the Artists Village open their doors to the public for a monthly Open House. This free event draws up to 1500 people from all around Los Angeles and Orange County to wander through more than 150 participating studios and galleries in historic buildings in downtown Santa Ana.
